In The Studio – Recording “Here”

We have so much going on right now, but everything is in the planning and pending stages as you seem to face with everything related to the music industry. We are very excited though and very keen to get some new songs out!!

Recording At Sofa Sounds … Our Next EP’s On It’s Way!

Sooooo…We decided to take a couple of months off from gigging, with one priority, writing & recording…okay well that’s two, but they overlapped :-)

On saturday morning, we headed down to Sofa Sounds studios in Acton, and with the help of our producer Adam Looker, managed to lay down 4 brand new tracks over the course of 2 days. We cannot wait for you to hear them!! Scott and Adam, our engineers, did an amazing job of capturing the instrumentals, and we’ll be laying down vocals over the next couple of weeks.

There’s no release date planned as yet, unfortunately you may have to wait as long as January/February for the official release, but we’re gonna be debuting them at our next gig on Wednesday 30th November at Cafe 1001 in Brick Lane.

Wednesday, Brixton, Bombay!

It’s been in our diaries for months, and tonight we took a little time off from rehearsals, and got ourselves down to Brixton Academy to see Bombay Bicycle Club! They absolutely nailed it, was an amazing show, sound was incredible, and the stage setup just looked pretty damn sick overall…

If you ever have a chance to see these boys, do it!

Tearing It Up At BBC 6Music: Our Interview with Tom Robinson

It’s been a great few weeks for us, BBC 6Music has been playing one of our latest tracks “Stay” for the past 2 weeks, and this week, they were kind enough to ask us in for an interview at their studios in Great Portland St, the home of BBC 6Music & Radio 2!

This Sunday night/Monday morning around 1am, they’ll be playing the interview with us along with another of our latest tracks “Lines”.

Tom was a bit of a legend, had a little chat with him on & off the air and even took a little pic of us all together for their blog :-)

The whole thing will be available on their Podcast on Monday/Tuesday, going out to twenty odd thousand people, hope you enjoy it as much as we did x

“Stay” Makes it onto BBC 6Music with Tom Robinson

It’s a late Sunday night, drifting off into a light slumber after a loooong wkend…..Crank up the radio, grab some coffee, and get listening to BBC6, coz The Stowaways are taking to the airwaves with Tom Robinson on BBC Introducing!!

Back in May, we had our first little taster of BBC Introducing, and we’re pretty excited to announce they’ll be plenty more where that came from.
